Don't Mistreat a Daughter Marrying Far From Home

Synopsis

Billionaire heiress Madeline Stanton hides her identity to marry a divorced hick, Arthur Thorne. Her mother, Valerie Sterling, disapproves but makes a pact: if they remain happily married after five years, she will accept Arthur and hand over the family business. However, Madeline's dreams are shattered by Arthur's repeated abuse and financial exploitation. Her mother-in-law also belittles her for giving birth to a girl. Regretful but too ashamed to confess, Madeline suffers in silence. Approaching the five-year mark, Valerie disguises herself as a plain country woman to attend the infant's hundred-day celebration for her granddaughter. Uncovering her daughter's miserable marriage, Valerie vows to bring Arthur Thorne to justice...
